I find that I am inspired sometimes by some of the most odd things. It could be an outfit that someone is wearing, a picture in a magazine, the beauty of the day, my husband, or sometimes my zany nieces and nephews. A lot of times I find that my day requires me to find an outlet that a visit to a gym just can't cure. So I sit with my exacto knife, my paint and brushes, and I let my creativity flow. Lately, however I find that pulling out my Great-Grandfathers easel and painting box is just too much of a hassle living in a small downtown apartment like so many young professionals--so I make cards, wrapping paper decorations, and designs that can easily be framed and hung in a home to add a bit of flair to the decor...things that can be made on my living room ottoman or floor.
